I hadn't thought of script obselescene... I'm using on of Sin's modded EE2 scripts, I think. I'd be VERY interested in a newer script to replace into my planes (shame, now that I just released a freebie box of my Ember Aircraft designs into the wi...

I went for a spin in my Wilder RE8 this morning. Two of us in a two-seater flying around Caledon at about 100m. All along the Firth over to Sky City, accross Caledon, Caledon II, the highlands, etc. No crashes and only a bit of rubber-banding at t...

I can only echo what others have explained here. Vehicle transport is terrible and has been very bad for months. Like Elle, I've had more luck flying as a tiny in the past. I'm not at all sure how well I'd fly as a Tiny now, but I do have severa...

I can see RCAF Personnel falling into 1 of 3 camps: 1) Those who can fly all available flying machines with little or no issues. 2) Those who can only fly hovering craft. 3) Those who can only engage in non-flying roleplay. We can still be via...

Next time I'm inworld, I'll try flying as a tiny and test your idea.

It MUST be a mess when YOU have problems flying, C. *SIGHS* I've had similar issues even walking through a single sim. I've had times where I walk in a straight line and out of control for 5 to 20 seconds - and that's WITHOUT a vehicle. I do ag...

The times I have been able to fly without (too many) rubber bands attached at random places of my plane which are then yanked at irregular intervals by the LL server, is when I fly my modded old style THI Spitfire, which is a pre-sculptie, no atta...

Perhaps there's an issue with scripts. I would like to invite anyone of you, on a regular basis (Candy?) to test out aircrafts. Also we could see if scripts are more problematic than others (am thinking of the the traditional Cubey Terra ones as b...

Even jetpacks play up if you cross a sim boundary! Combat is rather iffy in any form it seems. On the other hand cross-county flying really does present a challenge in itself!

Flying is the least of my problems, just walking around reduces my experience to jerkovision. I took some time out from SL and coming back I really notice how bad things are now (and this is in sims that haven't changed since I was away) I don't t...

When we held the tiny dogfighting event in Steelhead back in June. Things went pretty well. But I've found that flying there in general as a tiny tends to be less of a hassle than elsewhere for some reason. It could also be the nature of flying wh...

I'm with you, Candy I much prefer conventional flight scripts far more than hovering. I can't see us engaging in dogfights with airships. It looks fun on paper, but...eeeps! What a snoozer!

At present many pilots, including myself, are having great difficulty flying during current weather conditions ((SLs vehicle sim-cross script-lag issues)). Since hovering craft seem to work slightly better, we might consider switching to such dev...

AVM Pearse, We shall post a transcript to the NING as soon as possible.

I wish I could justify the expense of upgrading to quad cores but I cannot do so until well after my move to another state. And do I really want to do that just to fly in SL? I think not.

Sadly 9:00am is not an option for me. But if there's a transcript or a summary of the discussions afterwards please post them here.

I've had to put a big stopper on my aircraft development because I couldn't guage their performance. Sim crossings, even over the Firth of Caledon were so bad. I haven't tried in weeks. I have heard some people say it has improved lately, and I w...

Because I Fly (by Grover C. Norwood)

Because I fly

I laugh more than other men
I look up an see more than they,
I know how the clouds feel,
What it's like to have the blue in my lap,
to look down on birds,
to feel freedom in a thing called the stick...

who but I can slice between God's billowed legs,
and feel then laugh and crash with His step
Who else has seen the unclimbed peaks?
The rainbow's secret?
The real reason birds sing?
Because I Fly,
I envy no man on earth.

Steelhead Shanghai Featured on "Designing Worlds"

Steelhead Shanghai was featured on the "Designing Worlds" show. Hosts Saffia Widdershins and Elrik Merlin joined Lunar, Tensai and resident Elegia Underwood on a tour of the sim. For those who might have a problem viewing the video below, you can view it HERE...

Steelhead Town Meeting: Steelhead Mt St Helen's Prebooking Available

The citizens of Steelhead gathered for their weekly town meeting. O'Toole had a very large drum to bang. You may find out more about local events HERE, but the big announcement of the evening is that Steelhead Mt St Helen will be arriving in December and is now available for prebooking!
What is that large mountain in the background? Oh, it's perfectly safe to live there...To summarize the info from Lunar:
Steelhead's sixth sim will be a rugged, frontier wilderness community in the Oregon Territories, tree-filled and more rural with unpaved roads. Steampunk is very much allowed as long as a western influence is present in the build. Think the wild Pacific Northwest and geothermal power. Industries such as logging, slaughterhouses, cattle ranching, shipfitting, and whaling are very welcome, and industry builds are allowed to spit out tons of smoke in the air as well as dump pollutants into the water (This was the era before the EPA).

If you are interested in living there, please contact TotalLunar Eclipse.

Steelhead's New Station

Lunar and Tensai have built a brand new structure based upon this one to replace one of Steelhead's most well-known landmarks--the train station...
Steelhead's station has had a main train station for as long as I can remember. It serves as Steelhead's main welcome center and there is now plenty of room inside for new arrivals...
My favorite thing about it is the beautiful ceilings and beams...
