Royal Caledon Air Force (RCAF)

Altitude with Attitude: A Second Life® Group of the Independent State of Caledon

from RCAF R & D.... Our first test of an Ironclad Combat System (ICS) enabled airplane was a success!

We documented damage from two ICS enabled Bombers on a 1000 HP Ironclad.

Our first test damage results are as follows....

21 % Port side damage
3 % Bow
11 % Aft

From what I've seen none of the ships have anti-aircraft guns either, which is comforting.

Here is my post-Dogfight conversation with Ilsa Munro and Cornelius Fanshaw. The chatlog picks-up soon after we started a discussion about new aircraft for the RCAF...

[2009/06/14 10:29] Cornelius Fanshaw: Really for pre war something like a Farman or Voisin would be better
[2009/06/14 10:29] Cornelius Fanshaw: Fit's the new Brunswick war better
[2009/06/14 10:29] Ilsa Munro: Hmm, the MF16 is interesting
[2009/06/14 10:30] Cornelius Fanshaw: I can help with textures
[2009/06/14 10:30] Zoe Connolly: it would help with any Ironclad engagement too
[2009/06/14 10:30] Zoe Connolly: it's a bit more steampunk-ish to fly pre-ww1 craft
[2009/06/14 10:30] Ilsa Munro: The 450 is practically the Bullet
[2009/06/14 10:31] Cornelius Fanshaw: The plane I love most of all is the Etrich Taube
[2009/06/14 10:31] Ilsa Munro: Ahh if I could have anything that's ever flown it would be the Mustang
[2009/06/14 10:31] Zoe Connolly: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rumpler_Taube
[2009/06/14 10:31] Cornelius Fanshaw: http://witte-aero.com/Images/DeutschesMuseum/EtrichTaube.JPG
[2009/06/14 10:32] Ilsa Munro: Ohhh pretty
[2009/06/14 10:32] Ilsa Munro: Hmmmm
[2009/06/14 10:32] Ilsa Munro: Looks like a two place as well
[2009/06/14 10:32] Cornelius Fanshaw: I love the pre WWI era
[2009/06/14 10:32] Ilsa Munro: I don't know that I'd be able to do the cabling details
[2009/06/14 10:32] Cornelius Fanshaw: If you need plans I can help
[2009/06/14 10:32] Zoe Connolly: that's a fascinating period of aviation history
[2009/06/14 10:33] Ilsa Munro: Anything that is a real plane rather than an explosion with control surfaces fascinates me
[2009/06/14 10:34] Ilsa Munro: Oh - just dawned on me - you thought when I said time frame I meant like pre-WWI? :)
[2009/06/14 10:34] Ilsa Munro: Sorry I meant how soon is it needed :)
[2009/06/14 10:34] Zoe Connolly: an ICS enabled craft would be a welcome addition and add to our RP with the Caledon Navy and such
[2009/06/14 10:34] Cornelius Fanshaw: this is just up the road from me ;-) http://www.shuttleworth.org/
[2009/06/14 10:34] Zoe Connolly: I know Dia is quite busy in RL, so we have plenty of time this summer to work that all out
[2009/06/14 10:35] Ilsa Munro: Envy envy envy
[2009/06/14 10:35] Zoe Connolly: maybe 6-8 weeks
[2009/06/14 10:35] Ilsa Munro: Oh no worries then.
[2009/06/14 10:35] Zoe Connolly: right
[2009/06/14 10:35] Cornelius Fanshaw: I can help out with textures and things
[2009/06/14 10:35] Ilsa Munro: I've got some family things in the next few weeks but after that it should be semi-clear
[2009/06/14 10:35] Zoe Connolly: excellent
[2009/06/14 10:36] Cornelius Fanshaw: I have loads of books with plans too
[2009/06/14 10:36] Ilsa Munro: Excellent. You wouldn't believe it but the single - some what out of shape texture on the Bristol wings took longer for me to make than all of the sculpties combined
[2009/06/14 10:36] Zoe Connolly: and I'll be around more as summer and humidity heats up. I hate humidity ;)
[2009/06/14 10:36] Ilsa Munro laughs
[2009/06/14 10:36] Ilsa Munro = FL Girl, don't even notice it
[2009/06/14 10:36] Zoe Connolly: ah!
[2009/06/14 10:37] Cornelius Fanshaw: We just have rain :-(
[2009/06/14 10:37] Zoe Connolly: <<<----Michigan. I wilt and it's bad hair day for Z
[2009/06/14 10:37] Zoe Connolly: bad hair season ;)
[2009/06/14 10:37] Ilsa Munro grins
[2009/06/14 10:38] Ilsa Munro: So the Taube?
[2009/06/14 10:38] Zoe Connolly: I think that's a good choice
[2009/06/14 10:38] Cornelius Fanshaw: Taube for the light bomber observation craft
[2009/06/14 10:38] Zoe Connolly: it's historic AND steampunk-ish
[2009/06/14 10:39] Cornelius Fanshaw: wearable mg for the gunner?
[2009/06/14 10:39] Ilsa Munro: Looks a little like something I'm building for that Steam treasure hunt
[2009/06/14 10:39] Ilsa Munro: That's a good question, I have no idea how things like that would work
[2009/06/14 10:39] Cornelius Fanshaw: no built in mg ;-)
[2009/06/14 10:39] Cornelius Fanshaw: Pilot sit behind the gunner
[2009/06/14 10:40] Cornelius Fanshaw: I have a set of plans
[2009/06/14 10:40] Ilsa Munro: me grins
[2009/06/14 10:40] Ilsa Munro: Weekend project in the garage?
[2009/06/14 10:40] Ilsa Munro: Someone actually reconstructed the Dunne in their back yard- that's how I stumbled across it
[2009/06/14 10:41] Cornelius Fanshaw: I was going to build the model ;-0
[2009/06/14 10:41] Zoe Connolly: C, would the Gunner then act as Bombardier or would that be the Pilot?
[2009/06/14 10:41] Cornelius Fanshaw: Gunner would be the observer
[2009/06/14 10:41] Zoe Connolly nods
[2009/06/14 10:42] Ilsa Munro: Looking at her I'd suspect that bombs would be manually delivered :)
[2009/06/14 10:42] Cornelius Fanshaw: He'd be an officer and in charge the pilot would be an NCO
[2009/06/14 10:42] Ilsa Munro: Here's a lovely - if large photo - http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3f/Jeannin_Stahltau...
[2009/06/14 10:43] Cornelius Fanshaw: They just used to drop grenades and flechettes
[2009/06/14 10:43] Zoe Connolly: I think perhaps it would be easier to offer a TCS and an ICS version rather than have 2 systems in the same aircraft
[2009/06/14 10:43] Ilsa Munro nods
[2009/06/14 10:43] Ilsa Munro: Unless ICS is like VICE and has TCS capabilities built in?
[2009/06/14 10:43] Cornelius Fanshaw: Wouldn't it be TCS with an ICS bomb
[2009/06/14 10:43] Zoe Connolly: that would work, C
[2009/06/14 10:44] Cornelius Fanshaw: I don't think ICS would work as a plane
[2009/06/14 10:44] Zoe Connolly: does an ICS shell merely drop? I've only seen it fall with an arc
[2009/06/14 10:44] Ilsa Munro: Oh does the IC stand for Ironclad Combat?
[2009/06/14 10:44] Zoe Connolly: yes
[2009/06/14 10:45] Zoe Connolly: Ironclad Combat system
[2009/06/14 10:45] Ilsa Munro: That might be a function of the bomb itself.
[2009/06/14 10:45] Ilsa Munro: The acceleration that is
[2009/06/14 10:45] Zoe Connolly: the Penzance Ironclad launches a depth charge
[2009/06/14 10:45] Ilsa Munro grins
[2009/06/14 10:45] Zoe Connolly: it has a slight arc and drops
[2009/06/14 10:46] Ilsa Munro: I'm so out of touch with anything that isn't one of my aircraft :)
[2009/06/14 10:46] Zoe Connolly: but I've never seen one merely drop
[2009/06/14 10:46] Cornelius Fanshaw: ICS can't really work as a system between aircraft. I think all AC will have to stick with TCS
[2009/06/14 10:46] Zoe Connolly: perhaps the devs can answer that
[2009/06/14 10:46] Ilsa Munro nods
[2009/06/14 10:47] Cornelius Fanshaw: I just hope their bombs work independently
[2009/06/14 10:47] Ilsa Munro: I'll pick up the dev kit. With luck the bombs do all the work and I just have to drop them
[2009/06/14 10:47] Zoe Connolly: we'll see, in theory it should work. I spoke to the developers about it before
[2009/06/14 10:48] Zoe Connolly: they agreed it could be adapted to an aircraft
[2009/06/14 10:48] Cornelius Fanshaw: They can fit TCS guns to there ships if they want to shoot us or develop a Fleet Air Arm
[2009/06/14 10:48] Ilsa Munro: Oh it's more of an artillery shell than a gravity bomb?
[2009/06/14 10:48] Zoe Connolly: yes
[2009/06/14 10:48] Ilsa Munro: Ahhhh, got it.
[2009/06/14 10:49] Cornelius Fanshaw: I think they have torpedoes too don't they?
[2009/06/14 10:49] Ilsa Munro: Oh nice
[2009/06/14 10:49] Zoe Connolly: this is the Penzance Ironclad
[2009/06/14 10:50] Ilsa Munro: And 30 prims? Wow, I thought I was sculpty heavy :)
[2009/06/14 10:50] Zoe Connolly: in the aft section is the depth charge
[2009/06/14 10:50] Cornelius Fanshaw: Can you pull a depth charge out of that for an experiment?
[2009/06/14 10:50] Zoe Connolly: one sec, I'll see
[2009/06/14 10:51] Zoe Connolly: I don't think I can
[2009/06/14 10:51] Zoe Connolly: let me check the Dev kit
[2009/06/14 10:52] Ilsa Munro: Oh nice
[2009/06/14 10:53] Cornelius Fanshaw: I'm wondering if you can drop a charge on me and damage me
[2009/06/14 10:54] Ilsa Munro accepted your inventory offer.
[2009/06/14 10:54] Zoe Connolly: I think that's the entire dev kit, Ilsa
[2009/06/14 10:54] Ilsa Munro: Let me try something
[2009/06/14 10:55] Pilot House whispers: Commander is assuming control of the pilot station.
[2009/06/14 10:55] Penzance [ICS3] [CTF] v1.1: Chat "/7 help" for help on operating this vehicle.
[2009/06/14 10:55] Penzance HUD v1.1 (WEAR ME): Click one of the small flag buttons to change status flag. Click and hold for 3 seconds on a flag button to change that flag texture.
[2009/06/14 10:56] Depth Charge: Reloading...
[2009/06/14 10:56] Depth Charge: Reloaded.
[2009/06/14 10:56] Depth Charge: Reloaded.
[2009/06/14 10:57] Zoe Connolly: glub glub glub!
[2009/06/14 10:57] Depth Charge: Reloaded.
[2009/06/14 10:58] Starboard Turret: Reloading...
[2009/06/14 10:58] Starboard Turret: Not loaded.
[2009/06/14 10:58] Starboard Turret: Reloaded.
[2009/06/14 10:59] Starboard Turret: Reloaded.
[2009/06/14 10:59] Starboard Turret: Reloaded.
[2009/06/14 10:59] Ilsa Munro: Did it do any damage?
[2009/06/14 10:59] Starboard Turret: Reloaded.
[2009/06/14 10:59] Zoe Connolly: no, but I did see it fall on deck
[2009/06/14 11:00] Ilsa Munro: Hmm
[2009/06/14 11:00] Ilsa Munro: Thats the light canon shell script
[2009/06/14 11:00] Ilsa Munro: Let's see if it's too light :)
[2009/06/14 11:04] Zoe Connolly: yes!
[2009/06/14 11:04] Zoe Connolly: 6 % damage
[2009/06/14 11:04] Cornelius Fanshaw: That's doing damage
[2009/06/14 11:04] Zoe Connolly: now 8
[2009/06/14 11:04] Zoe Connolly: 11 %!
[2009/06/14 11:04] Zoe Connolly: it's working!
[2009/06/14 11:05] Cornelius Fanshaw: That's great! Easy solution
[2009/06/14 11:05] Zoe Connolly: excellent!
[2009/06/14 11:05] Zoe Connolly: woohoo!
[2009/06/14 11:05] Cornelius Fanshaw: I'm really pleased
[2009/06/14 11:05] Zoe Connolly: I've never been so happy to be blasted before ;)
[2009/06/14 11:06] Zoe Connolly: now imagine a coordinated effort
[2009/06/14 11:06] Ilsa Munro: It worked?
[2009/06/14 11:06] Cornelius Fanshaw: Works a treat!
[2009/06/14 11:06] Ilsa Munro: I had to cam back about a MILE to be able to see where I was dropping
[2009/06/14 11:06] Zoe Connolly: 18% port side damage
[2009/06/14 11:07] Ilsa Munro: Yay
[2009/06/14 11:07] Zoe Connolly: 3 % bow
[2009/06/14 11:07] Zoe Connolly: woohoo!
[2009/06/14 11:07] Cornelius Fanshaw: We need bigger bombs though ;-)
[2009/06/14 11:07] Zoe Connolly: this Ironclad has 1000 HP
[2009/06/14 11:07] Ilsa Munro laughs
[2009/06/14 11:08] Ilsa Munro: The Bismark
[2009/06/14 11:08] Zoe Connolly: indeed!
[2009/06/14 11:08] Ilsa Munro: That plane's outfitted with the bombs
[2009/06/14 11:08] Ilsa Munro: Press shift and left cursor once to breech it
[2009/06/14 11:08] Ilsa Munro: Then a second time to drop it
[2009/06/14 11:08] Cornelius Fanshaw: Excellent
[2009/06/14 11:14] Ilsa Munro: No idea if I hit you even once :)
[2009/06/14 11:14] Zoe Connolly: this is not a bad start
[2009/06/14 11:14] Cornelius Fanshaw: Not sure I have the hang of bombing yet
[2009/06/14 11:14] Zoe Connolly: 21 % Port, 3 % Bow, and 11 % Aft damage
[2009/06/14 11:14] Ilsa Munro nods
[2009/06/14 11:15] Ilsa Munro: Especially with me ramming you constantly :)
[2009/06/14 11:15] Zoe Connolly: you must admit this is encouraging though
[2009/06/14 11:15] Cornelius Fanshaw: We need to agree clockwise or anti-clockwise ;-)
[2009/06/14 11:15] Ilsa Munro grins
[2009/06/14 11:15] Zoe Connolly: at present there is no ICS defense against an ICS enabled aircraft
[2009/06/14 11:16] Ilsa Munro: I warned you I'm a danger to everything in the air. Birds too
[2009/06/14 11:16] Zoe Connolly laughs
[2009/06/14 11:16] Cornelius Fanshaw: Their fleet air arm ;-)
[2009/06/14 11:16] Ilsa Munro: Couldn't they use the TCS system? The non-aircraft one I mean
[2009/06/14 11:16] Cornelius Fanshaw: They can wear an avTCS hud
[2009/06/14 11:17] Zoe Connolly: that's true, if that's part of the ROE
[2009/06/14 11:17] Cornelius Fanshaw: It's the easier answer
[2009/06/14 11:18] Ilsa Munro: I'll mess about with wings and see if I can get a prototype of the Taube by next weekend
[2009/06/14 11:18] Zoe Connolly: we're making up a whole new area here, so new ROE will need to be sorted out
[2009/06/14 11:19] Ilsa Munro grins
[2009/06/14 11:19] Ilsa Munro: I'll leave that to you :)
[2009/06/14 11:19] Zoe Connolly smiles
[2009/06/14 11:19] Ilsa Munro: I just make 'em go
[2009/06/14 11:19] Zoe Connolly: that works for me ;)
[2009/06/14 11:19] Cornelius Fanshaw: If we make only the slow bombers drop bombs
[2009/06/14 11:20] Cornelius Fanshaw: Keep it to official planes
[2009/06/14 11:20] Zoe Connolly: yes!
[2009/06/14 11:20] Ilsa Munro: SO leave in the two step firing process as well?
[2009/06/14 11:21] Zoe Connolly is thinking
[2009/06/14 11:21] Zoe Connolly: for now yes
[2009/06/14 11:21] Cornelius Fanshaw: I need to get the hang of that. I must admit I get on better with the b command
[2009/06/14 11:21] Ilsa Munro grins
[2009/06/14 11:21] Ilsa Munro: Listens = lag
[2009/06/14 11:21] Cornelius Fanshaw: I know ;-)
[2009/06/14 11:22] Zoe Connolly: but we'll see how challenging it is for the Bomber pilots
[2009/06/14 11:22] Ilsa Munro nods
[2009/06/14 11:22] Ilsa Munro: I'm used to my key combos so it's easier for me
[2009/06/14 11:22] Cornelius Fanshaw: Well if bombers are slow and stable in flight that helps
[2009/06/14 11:22] Cornelius Fanshaw: easier to soot down but hey.. ;-)
[2009/06/14 11:23] Zoe Connolly: I'm also all for any little thing that will decrease lag
[2009/06/14 11:23] Ilsa Munro: Easy enough, I tick up the internal clock a little to make my planes more responsice. Slowing it down will make them more "lumber-y"
[2009/06/14 11:23] Cornelius Fanshaw: It think it's good to make each type feel unique
[2009/06/14 11:24] Zoe Connolly: We'll need a bomb target to practice
[2009/06/14 11:24] Ilsa Munro grins
[2009/06/14 11:24] Zoe Connolly: I may set one up at the aerodrome
[2009/06/14 11:24] Cornelius Fanshaw: Good idea
[2009/06/14 11:24] Ilsa Munro: I suspect Penzance is about to get loud :)
[2009/06/14 11:24] Zoe Connolly laughs
[2009/06/14 11:25] Zoe Connolly: my neighbors are used to that
[2009/06/14 11:25] Ilsa Munro grins
[2009/06/14 11:25] Zoe Connolly: I'm the oddball Girl with Guns anyway ;)
[2009/06/14 11:25] Ilsa Munro: Oh what's the outlook on the WWII sims? I have to admit I've never been but I thought that they were very new, and they're in danger of closing already?
[2009/06/14 11:26] Ilsa Munro laughs
[2009/06/14 11:26] Ilsa Munro: I"m an extra in a Girls with Guns comic book :)
[2009/06/14 11:26] Cornelius Fanshaw: Would it be possible to have changeable payloads?
[2009/06/14 11:26] Zoe Connolly: that one us under threat yes
[2009/06/14 11:26] Ilsa Munro: Easily
[2009/06/14 11:26] Cornelius Fanshaw: in flight?
[2009/06/14 11:27] Zoe Connolly: Saf has some real life issues that are taking her away from SL and she can;t justify the expense
[2009/06/14 11:27] Ilsa Munro: Probably. Do you ever use the chase camera mode?
[2009/06/14 11:27] Ilsa Munro: Ahhh
[2009/06/14 11:27] Cornelius Fanshaw: no
[2009/06/14 11:27] Ilsa Munro: Then I could use that. I might also be able to use other mouse keys but I don't want to interfere with TCS for air combat so I'd have to experiment
[2009/06/14 11:28] Zoe Connolly: I'd buy them myself, but I have my own RL family issues with 2 unemployed siblings
[2009/06/14 11:28] Ilsa Munro nods
[2009/06/14 11:28] Ilsa Munro: LA is a luxury but 300 a month would be a hardship
[2009/06/14 11:28] Zoe Connolly: yes indeed!
[2009/06/14 11:29] Zoe Connolly: I have not yet managed to win the Lotto ;)
[2009/06/14 11:29] Ilsa Munro grins
[2009/06/14 11:29] Ilsa Munro: If I ever came into that sort of money there would be such an open sim...
[2009/06/14 11:29] Ilsa Munro grins
[2009/06/14 11:30] Zoe Connolly: oh gosh! watch out! I'd have a huge space for all sorts of SL craziness ;)
[2009/06/14 11:30] Ilsa Munro: Of course I'd prefer one region of 1024 by 1024 per server over four 256 regions
[2009/06/14 11:30] Ilsa Munro: Sim crossings are my kryptonite :)
[2009/06/14 11:31] Cornelius Fanshaw: I think a single sim is better for a dog fight anyway
[2009/06/14 11:31] Ilsa Munro nods
[2009/06/14 11:31] Ilsa Munro: Pity Mondserrat isn't around, no borders would help out a lot
[2009/06/14 11:32] Zoe Connolly: if I could, I'd have a dogfight sim over water in between two large islands
[2009/06/14 11:32] Cornelius Fanshaw: Extropia used to work well
[2009/06/14 11:32] Zoe Connolly: yes it did!
[2009/06/14 11:32] Ilsa Munro: Are they still around?
[2009/06/14 11:33] Zoe Connolly: it was perfect for a long time
[2009/06/14 11:33] Ilsa Munro: I used to pop by Gaius's shop now and then but haven't in a while
[2009/06/14 11:33] Zoe Connolly: they are, but the Skies of Tomorrow group of sims are gone
[2009/06/14 11:33] Ilsa Munro nods
[2009/06/14 11:33] Ilsa Munro: And in the end they wound up doing nothing. Not even changing the tiers. Idiots
[2009/06/14 11:34] Ilsa Munro: LL that is
[2009/06/14 11:34] Gilbert Sapwood: good day all.
[2009/06/14 11:34] Ilsa Munro: Hello Mr Sapwood
[2009/06/14 11:34] Cornelius Fanshaw: Hello
[2009/06/14 11:34] Gilbert Sapwood: Ms Munro
[2009/06/14 11:34] Zoe Connolly: much was lost thanks to that decision
[2009/06/14 11:34] Zoe Connolly: hello Mr Sapwood
[2009/06/14 11:34] Gilbert Sapwood: Mr Fanshaw
[2009/06/14 11:34] Gilbert Sapwood: Ms Connolly, nice to see you again.
[2009/06/14 11:34] Zoe Connolly: nice to see you too, sir
[2009/06/14 11:34] Gilbert Sapwood: forgive the intrusion, just wandering today.
[2009/06/14 11:35] Zoe Connolly: no intrusion ;)
[2009/06/14 11:35] Gilbert Sapwood smiles
[2009/06/14 11:35] Zoe Connolly: we're just chatting
[2009/06/14 11:35] Gilbert Sapwood: thank you
[2009/06/14 11:35] Ilsa Munro: Not at all, just indulging in that most SLesque of past times. Bashing the decisions from LL
[2009/06/14 11:35] Gilbert Sapwood: Ah!
[2009/06/14 11:35] Zoe Connolly: indeed ;)
[2009/06/14 11:35] Gilbert Sapwood: a time-honoured tradition.
[2009/06/14 11:35] Zoe Connolly: quite so
[2009/06/14 11:36] Ilsa Munro: Though I should get back to reality I fear. The spawn has been whining about lunch for an hour now
[2009/06/14 11:36] Gilbert Sapwood: You should sound-proof their cages.
[2009/06/14 11:36] Ilsa Munro laughs
[2009/06/14 11:36] Ilsa Munro: I think that the SPCA would object
[2009/06/14 11:36] Zoe Connolly: actually I could use some lunch myself. It's after 2 and I've not had a thing
[2009/06/14 11:36] Gilbert Sapwood snickers
[2009/06/14 11:37] Gilbert Sapwood: well, I shall leave you to your feedings.
[2009/06/14 11:37] Gilbert Sapwood: good to see you.
[2009/06/14 11:37] Cornelius Fanshaw: and my dinner is waiting

[2009/06/14 11:37] Zoe Connolly: take care, Mr Sapwood!
[2009/06/14 11:37] Ilsa Munro waves
[2009/06/14 11:37] Cornelius Fanshaw: If you need anything just shout
[2009/06/14 11:37] Ilsa Munro: And do some reading on ICS see if I need to do anything other than rez and forget the bomb
[2009/06/14 11:37] Zoe Connolly: I think we accomplished much today
[2009/06/14 11:38] Cornelius Fanshaw: We all the ideas are in place
[2009/06/14 11:38] Zoe Connolly: yes!
[2009/06/14 11:38] Ilsa Munro nods
[2009/06/14 11:38] Ilsa Munro: Now it's a matter of time and skills... Or the lack of same
[2009/06/14 11:39] Cornelius Fanshaw: It'll be a nasty shock for the enemy ;-)
[2009/06/14 11:39] Zoe Connolly: Don;t worry Ilsa. Take your time
[2009/06/14 11:39] Ilsa Munro: Oh dear, will I need a security detail?
[2009/06/14 11:39] Zoe Connolly: perhaps so!
[2009/06/14 11:39] Ilsa Munro grins and begins working on mutant atomic super men
[2009/06/14 11:39] Zoe Connolly laughs
[2009/06/14 11:40] Ilsa Munro: But for now, lunch :)
[2009/06/14 11:40] Zoe Connolly: Same here
[2009/06/14 11:40] Zoe Connolly: ttfn

Just a quick update, pending final airworthiness certification the Taube is completed. I've a few photos at my sparkly new blog for those who want to see how she looks.

She's built with TCS which is controlled by the pilot, and a bombardier system controlled by the forward observer/passenger. The Taube is equipped with a light and a heavy bomb (using the ICS light and heavy shells as the models) as well as a single man inflatable raft which can be dropped to aid downed fliers at sea.
